For the Palm Jebel Ali project in Dubai Waterstudio designed a combined clubhouse and restaurant. On the floating base a steel skeleton is fixed which is cladded with wood. Between the wooden lattice-work gaps allow filtered light to enter the interior space. The restaurant is semi-exterior space. Because of the hight of the 40 seats the cooling effect of the sea-wind is optimally utilized. The restaurant measures 24 by 20 metres and is 10 metres high. The floating base is 30 by 40 meters.
