This stunning watervilla boasts impressive dimensions of 18.5 meters in length, 11 meters in width, and 6 meters in height. It is one of the largest water dwellings constructed to date in the Netherlands, with a structure entirely made of CLT (cross laminated timber) that allows for the creation of enormous overhangs. The villa is designed to be levensloopbestendig (suitable for all ages), featuring a lift for easy access.
The terrace has been ingeniously connected to the watervilla on-site to accommodate the required passage width. As the dwelling was relocated over water by contractor Domera, the passage width was not sufficient to move both the terrace and the villa simultaneously. As a solution, the terrace was attached to the dwelling at a later stage. This clever design allows for a seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces, offering unparalleled views of the surrounding waterways.
